About

A travel music project built around cities with their own pulse.

Sounds From Somewhere turns destinations into listening experiences. Each city becomes a page with mood, imagery, and a track that feels anchored to a real place instead of floating free as just another single.

Behind The Atlas

Directed, selected, and shaped by a human ear.

Sounds From Somewhere is a place-based music project: part sonic travel journal, part catalog, part experiment in how a city can become a repeatable listening route.

AI-assisted drafts are curated, edited, and paired with cities by mood, story, texture, and replay value. A release only goes live when the song, artwork, city page, and listening context feel like they belong together.

Cities are chosen from personal memories, audience requests, release strategy, and places with a strong visual or emotional identity. New routes are added as the catalog develops.

The project avoids exact artist imitation and focuses on place-inspired direction: atmosphere, rhythm, motion, weather, architecture, nightlife, coastline, and the feeling a location leaves behind.

City Storytelling

Places lead the listening experience.

Every destination should feel distinct. The route, the image, and the copy all work together so a city page has its own personality before the play button is even hit.

Original Pairings

Each track belongs to somewhere.

The catalog is meant to feel intentional, with songs matched to a setting, not loosely tagged after the fact. That gives every release more memory, color, and replay value.

Discovery Map

The library can grow city by city.

As more places are added, the site becomes a better atlas: part travel moodboard, part release archive, and part discovery engine for listeners following a vibe.
